Characteristics of Pine Wood
Pine is considered holy in Korea, and thus is popular among the people. The greatest advantage of pine is that it releases almost no harmful substances, and since the wood itself absorbs and releases moisture it can act as a natural humidity control. It also has the ability as a natural filter to block formaldehyde, dirt, and other forms of pollution from entering the room. In addition, it releases 10 times more phytoncide than other woods, allowing pine to have antibacterial and insecticidal properties.
